Cycling is the leading cycling magazine in the world. It was launched in February 2003 and published 10 times a year. Cycling South Africa is a counterpart to the American cycling magazine: Bicycling and Mountain Bike. It is a publication of Touchline Media, also belonging to the Lifestyle 24 Media Division.
The bicycle has become known as the magazine par excellence for cycling. It is aimed at both road and mountain bike partisans, which is a rapidly growing and rich lifestyle cycling market that includes professional, casual, young or adult cyclists. If you like only ten speed or mountain biking, then expect this magazine to be an informative and useful material to read.
Bicycling South Africa is the leading bicycle and tool tester; dedicating more than 30% of its space to the latest reviews that allow readers to make the best choices. The magazine has content for every element of a cyclist’s life, including training techniques and fitness information full of interesting stories of human interest, motivation, nutrition and news about events from all over the world.
A Bicycling South Africa subscription offers a good mix of travel, fitness, bike and gear reviews, race reports and much more. Colorful photography and award-winning stories, which give life to the sport, complete each Bicycling page. This is coupled with intriguing stories of celebrities surrounding the sport and a showcase of their latest cycling clothing.
Voting cycling to keep you fit and healthy includes essential fitness, training and nutrition tips. Cycling provides in-depth reviews on bikes and gear for all cycling styles and routes.
Seasoned cyclists, beginners and aspiring cyclists; those who ride a bike or those who are flirting with the idea of cycling must register with the digital magazine Bicycling South Africa and enjoy exceptional and useful content.
The publisher of Bicycling South Africa, Mike Finch, intends to make his brand globally consistent, looking at franchisees like Australia. In April 2013, Bicycling sported a new logo, a new format and 16 extra pages. The new logo matches the logo used by its US international partner, Rodale Inc. The April issue was on the cover, Patrick Dempsey – a keen cyclist and star of the hit series Gray’s Anatomy. Incidentally, it coincided with the tenth anniversary of the leading cycling magazine in South Africa.
Mike Finch states: “Bicycling marries the best international cycling content with the best local content to give our readers a high quality cycling publication.” For this reason, he also states: “… we have always thought that we need more pages to do justice to a sport that is growing rapidly in South Africa, in this way we can produce more high quality content for our readers.”
To enable more readers to get the magazine, Bicycling South Africa joined the digital media revolution by launching the Bicycling South Africa e-magazine on all or most digital newsagents. This offered an opportunity to access millions of interested readers. More importantly, customers do not need more heavy magazines around during their trip. A digital magazine does not take up space in your luggage or add weight to your phone! All your digital magazines are available in the cloud and can be accessed anywhere, anytime.
So take a copy of the E-magazine Bicycling to fuel your passion for sport. This is the way to the future with a clear message to “become green”.
